Son si\u00e8ge occupe une partie de l&rsquo;ancien <strong>couvent de la Merced<\/strong>, dont les origines remontent au XVIe si\u00e8cle et qui a subi d&rsquo;importantes modifications ult\u00e9rieures (notamment une <strong>fa\u00e7ade baroque ajout\u00e9e en 1685<\/strong>). Apr\u00e8s la d\u00e9saffectation du XIXe si\u00e8cle, le b\u00e2timent a chang\u00e9 de peau : caserne, h\u00f4pital, entrep\u00f4ts, prison&#8230; et m\u00eame usine de tabac en 1889, avant de devenir le Parlement (inaugur\u00e9 en tant que tel en 1988).  <\/p><p>Sur le plan architectural, c&rsquo;est un exemple parfait de b\u00e2timent \u00ab\u00a0adaptable\u00a0\u00bb : une structure conventuelle, con\u00e7ue pour la vie communautaire, qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 reconfigur\u00e9e pour des usages tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents. Le grand geste contemporain a \u00e9t\u00e9 de recouvrir l&rsquo;ancien clo\u00eetre et de le transformer en h\u00e9micycle : l\u00e0 o\u00f9 il y avait le silence qui passait, il y a maintenant un d\u00e9bat et un micro. <\/p><p>Un coup de pinceau \u00e0 regarder : notez la coexistence des styles. Dans la m\u00eame visite, vous pouvez sentir l&rsquo;\u00e9cho monastique (cours, rythmes, proportions) et, en m\u00eame temps, la solennit\u00e9 institutionnelle. C&rsquo;est comme si l&rsquo;architecture vous disait : \u00ab\u00a0J&rsquo;ai \u00e9t\u00e9 beaucoup de choses, mais j&rsquo;ai toujours servi la ville\u00a0\u00bb.  <\/p><p>Et une note amusante : si les murs pouvaient voter, ils demanderaient probablement le repos&#8230; bien que, avec tant d&rsquo;histoire derri\u00e8re eux, ils auraient probablement aussi une opinion. Ici, plus qu&rsquo;un b\u00e2timent, vous visitez un r\u00e9sum\u00e9 de l&rsquo;\u00e9volution des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s : ce qui \u00e9tait hier la foi est aujourd&rsquo;hui la politique ; ce qui \u00e9tait hier l&rsquo;enfermement est aujourd&rsquo;hui la repr\u00e9sentation. <\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-169efd7 elementor-widget
