In Logro\u00f1o it opened on <strong>April 10, 1905<\/strong>, as part of a movement that spread to many European and Spanish cities at the beginning of the 20th century.<\/p><p>Here the architecture matters because the function demanded it: hygiene, light, control, order. No &#8220;cute for cute&#8217;s sake&#8221;. They were spaces designed to take care, to measure, to prevent. And there is something exciting about that: it is a building that speaks of a city that wanted to modernize from the most basic thing, which is to take care of babies.<\/p><p>And if you are interested in the leap of time, this place fits very well in a route that plays with time: Logro\u00f1o going from medieval (walls, churches) to contemporary (public health, science, culture). Because La Gota de Leche is not just a place: it is an idea. The idea that a city is also measured by how it takes care of those who cannot yet take care of themselves.<\/p><p>Tip to look at it with different eyes: imagine the hustle and bustle of mothers, grandmothers, doctors, nurses. The building, on its own, may seem inconspicuous; but if you fill it with voices in your head, it comes alive.
